Senior Photographers International
(SPI) is an association of over 1,000 studio members located across the globe. SPI members are professional photographers specializing in High School Senior Portraits. We are dedicated to bringing the best in photography and business practices to High School Seniors. SPI was founded on the principle of photographers sharing information with one another. We remain committed to that philosophy All newsletter articles and convention programs, pertain specifically to the subject of senior photography.
SPI membership is limited
to studios photographing under 2,500 seniors per season. We were founded on the idea of bringing together senior photographers to network and share ideas, in order to grow their businesses. That concept is what makes this association thrive.
Members earn SPI Merits for sharing their ideas. A degree program is available for both photographic skills and service to the organization.

Newsletter
- Every other month you will receive a newsletter with tips and ideas that will help you increase your studio's business. Our members share ideas, price lists, advertisements and successful promotions through our informal publication.
The first issue of the year includes a three ring binder to help keep all of the information organized. These notebooks will become one of your most valuable reference tools
in future years. You will find yourself referring to the notebook time after time.
Internet Presence - Your studio will be listed on our consumer web site, www.seniorphotog.com. This site
is advertised in national teen magazines and through Google, pointing seniors in your area to your studio. Local seniors can find you quickly and easily by zip code or state searches. If you have your own web site we will include a link, so the seniors can go directly to your site.
Your studio will also be listed on our member web site, this site. . Here you will find a list of other members sites that you can visit for more ideas for your own studio. This
site also has vendor contact information for everything you need to operate your studio.
Member Forum - Need a quick answer to a problem? Where to find a particular product or service? The SPI Forum may be the place to help.
This free resource allows you to interact with other members to solve problems, offer suggestions and keep in touch with one another. Our internet forum is available exclusively to SPI members.
New Car Giveaway
Offer your seniors a chance to win a brand new car!
Each year, we give away a new car, or $20,000.00 cash, to a lucky senior who had their portraits made at an SPI Member Studio. The car and all the advertising pieces only cost a member $100.00. By pooling our members together it allows for power marketing.
Scholarship - THREE Seniors will each be awarded a $1,000.00 scholarship to help further their education. As an SPI member, your seniors are eligible to apply
for the scholarships.. Another great marketing tool for your studio.
Annual Convention
- You will be eligible to join other members at our annual convention and trade show in Florida each January. Experience some of the top speakers in the nation as they share their expertise on senior photography. Our trade show is second to none -some of the best companies in the world use SPI to showcase new products for the Senior Photographer. .. The show is open only to SPI members, assuring that you will be one more step ahead of the competition.
Print Competition - Our convention also includes a print competition of folios
featuring the best photographs from all over the country.
Maybe by now you are saying to yourself "I should belong!" Well it is easy. Just fill out the application and return it with $120.00 U.S or $140.00 Canada and England. We work a little different than most associations, as you will get the notebook with every months issue already in it, from March 15th to whatever date you join, then on the 15th of every other month thereafter.
These books will prove to be one of your most valuable tools as years go by. You will find yourself referring to them time and time again.
